A couple a weeks ago my dad gave me the cutest high heeled shoe...made of paper.
He told me he'd made a few of these, filled them with some chocolate bonbons, put it on the chocolate box, wrapped it with transparant foil and gave it away as a present. My dad is really the (paper)craftsman in our family !
And because he knows I also like to make quick and easy gifts he made me a handdrawn template. My husband, who has a lot more patience than I do to figure out drawing programs, finetuned it in Illustrator. It was the first template he ever draw and I think he really did a great job ! So it is a family project after all !
Once you get started making these shoes it becomes an addiction. In less than 10 minutes you've finished one. While your crafting, more and more ideas come up and you want to make them all.
Wanna give it a try ? Click here to download the template. ( If you have any problems downloading please contact).
Cut the lines and fold the dotted ones. Glue the heel and and insert the two pieces at the front of the shoe into eachother. Than use your imagination to decorate your shoe with colourful ribbons, stars, flowers, stones and so on.
Also made a cute little paper peetoe ? I'm really curious so please share !!
I love this!! Tried to download the pattern but for some reason my computer will not save it.
ReplyDeleteThank You !
DeleteI've send you a pdf file of the shoe by mail.
Hope that will work !
Enjoy making them !
Bonjour, le lien ne marche pas , j aterrie sur une page introuvable. merci d avance
Deletevery cute. thank you.
ReplyDeletePrinted of pattern and cut and folded. Too cute! Going to do some in Red & purple for my Red Hat group. Many thanks to you and your dad for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks, you'll find out it's very easy and fun to make !
DeleteHave a nice day on April 25th !
So cute! What kind of paper did you use?
ReplyDeleteThanks !
DeleteI just used simple one colored craftpaper 80 to 120 grams.
But it's also nice if you print a pattern, for instance flowers, on a white piece of paper, and print another design on the back. The inside of your shoe will have another look than the outside. Have fun trying it !
Love love love this! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just received the email with this tutorial. I am SO-O-O excited. Please give your dad a HUGE hug for me. I imported the pattern into my Cricut and can now mass produce them. WHY???? I volunteer with an organization called Water Step in Louisville, KY (www.waterstep.org). They collect shoes (any condition) and sell them to an exporter who sells them to micro-businesses in developing countries who repair and clean the shoes for re-sale. The money Water Step receives goes for the purchasing of water purification systems that are taken into countries that do not have safe water.
ReplyDeleteDID YOU KNOW:
Statistics from the World Health Organization tell us that 16% of all deaths in children under the age of 5 is due to diarrheal disease. That’s 1.5 million children each year or 4100 children each day or 3 children every minute.
88% of deaths due to diarrheal disease, worldwide, are attributed to unsafe water, inadequate sanitation and poor hygiene.
783 million people lack access to an improved source of drinking water—that's 1 in 9 of us.
The average American uses 176 gallons of water per day compared to 5 gallons of water the average African family uses each day. (www.water.org)
Please think about these facts the next time you go and turn on your faucet and good, clean water comes out…
Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing these little paper shoes. They will be on display in abundance to draw attention to a worldwide WATER problem.

Hi, cute for girls 25th birthday party.
ReplyDeleteCan you please send the workout instructions.
Thanks in advance. Aishel
Hi Aishel !
DeleteAt first you print the template on a with piece of paper and make the cuttings and folds. Use that to transfer it to the piece of paper in the color of your choice. Draw the lines with a pencil so you can erase them later.
Cut out the shoe and fold the dotted lines and cut out the little circles with a perforator. Then glue the heel of the
shoe first, wait till it's dry.Insert the two pieces in front of the shoe into eachother. Glue the side of the shoe. Then the fun part;decorate it with whatever you like; shiny stones, feathers, (paper)flowers etc.
I wasn't sure if you were able to download the template so I sent the pdf file by mail.
